A simplified manual of systemic structural family therapy is presented as a resource for religious counseling services for dysfunctional families or couples with problems. Based on the motivation acquired in two extension work experiences over the last twenty years, with the author’s participation, carried out by the Mackenzie Presbyterian University (MPU) in riverside towns along the Solimões River in the State of Amazonas and from the MPU in São Paulo – SP, with services provided to more than one hundred families with family therapy and technical and applied training of clinical psychology professionals from various states of the BrazilianFederation, the relevance and clear application of university extension programs and projects are shown as thebasis of this work. The theoretical framework for family therapy is based in Salvador Minuchin, and the concepts of the Reformed Christian worldview underpin the religious proposal of the manual. The following results were recorded:Amazon Vida Project: 20,455 people benefited, in 75 riverside communities of the Amazon, through the following activities: Medical treatment and rehabilitation; Dental treatment and rehabilitation; Education and Environment; Christian religious counseling and family support. In the Family Clinic Program, more than 100 vulnerable families received family therapy, and 60 psychology students were trained in systemic family therapy.
